Melamine powder (also known as melamine formaldehyde resin powder) is a thermosetting plastic raw material, mainly used for manufacturing imitation porcelain tableware (melamine tableware).

Production process
1.Weighing and Preheating: Weigh a fixed amount of melamine powder according to the product weight and preheat it in a high-frequency device to soften and solidify it into a block.
2.High-Temperature and High-Pressure Molding (Plain Surface): Place the preheated block into a mold and press it into shape under high temperature (approximately 130-150℃) and high pressure. This process is also called "molding".
3.Decal Application and Top Coating (For Patterned Products): If a pattern is required, decals are applied to the plain surface product, and glazing powder (also a special type of melamine powder) is sprinkled on top. It is then pressed again at high temperature to fuse the pattern and create a glossy surface.
4.Grinding and Polishing: Remove burrs from the edges of the molded product and perform fine polishing to give it a smooth and warm feel.

Question1：Is it food-safe?
Yes.Our grade melamine powder is food-grade, meets GB 4806.7, FDA 21CFR177.1460 and EU 10/2011 standards, safe for daily food contact.
Question2：Why can't melamine tableware be heated in a microwave oven?
Because melamine powder is a thermosetting plastic. Once molded, it cannot be reshaped. Although heat-resistant, it is not microwave-permeable.
Question3：What’s the shelf life and storage?
Shelf life: 6 months in dry and cool conditions.
Store in a cool, dry, ventilated place, avoid moisture and direct sunlight.
Question4：Can you customize colors?
Yes. We can customize colors according to Pantone or customer samples.
