P20 Steel Melamine Dishware Mold High Gloss Finish Durable Compression Molding for Dinnerware
Product Detail
Melamine tableware compression molds are key tools used to compress melamine resin powder into melamine tableware. Their quality and performance directly affect the shape, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality of the tableware
Working principle
A certain amount of melamine resin powder is placed into the mold cavity, and then pressure is applied to the mold by a press while heating is carried out. The melamine resin powder undergoes a curing reaction under high temperature and high pressure, filling the mold cavity. After cooling, melamine tableware with the same shape as the mold cavity is formed.
Material Selection
(1)Die Steel: Commonly used types include P20 and 718H, which possess good strength, hardness, wear resistance, and machinability, ensuring the service life and molding accuracy of the mold.
(2)Surface Treatment: To improve the wear resistance and demolding performance of the mold, the mold surface is usually treated with chrome plating, nitriding, etc., to form a hard, smooth protective film.Mold Design Considerations
1.Cavity Design:
Based on the shape, size, and precision requirements of the melamine tableware, design a reasonable mold cavity to ensure smooth molding and that the dimensions meet the requirements.
2.Demolding Design:
Considering the demolding issue of melamine tableware, the mold needs to be designed with a reasonable draft angle, generally 1°-3°, to facilitate the removal of the tableware from the mold.
3.Ventilation Design:
During the pressing process, melamine resin powder releases gas. Therefore, the mold needs to be designed with a good venting system, such as venting grooves and venting holes, to prevent gas from accumulating in the mold cavity and causing defects such as air holes and material shortages in the tableware.FAQ
