Melamine Tableware Mould | Multi-Cavity High Output – PANLONG
Product Detail
The PANLONG multi-cavity melamine tableware mould is a compression mould tooled with several cavities in one set, so every press cycle produces more than one piece. For factories running plates, bowls, cups and spoons at volume, multi-cavity tooling is how output grows without adding presses or floorspace
The Cavity Math
-
Mould cavities decide the cost story of a tableware line. The same press cycle that makes one piece can make several, and the calculation is simple:
(1)Labour and energy per press cycle stay roughly the same whether the mould has one cavity or four
-
(2)More cavities per cycle means more pieces per shift with the same operators
(3)Higher cavity counts pay for themselves in volume programmes and repeat orders
-
Design Rules for Multi-Cavity Moulds
-
(1)Balanced material flow so every cavity fills evenly and cures consistently
(2)Uniform wall thickness across cavities for the same part quality in every piece
(3)Clean demoulding geometry that keeps cycle times short and parts consistent
Steel and Finish
PANLONG multi-cavity moulds are machined from P20 / 718 pre-hardened mould steel with hard chrome plated, mirror-polished cavities - the combination that gives long tool life and the high-gloss surface export melamine tableware demands. Moulds are built from your product drawings.
Working with Your Press
Cavity count is matched to your press tonnage and product size. On PANLONG's tableware presses - the 250T to 550T range - multi-cavity moulds run plates, bowls, cups and spoons in single color or double color; the 600T and above press range carries the sink and toilet seat mould family. One drawing from you, one mould set from us, sized correctly from the start.
FAQ
Question1: How many cavities should my mould have?
It depends on your product size, press tonnage and order volume. Send the product drawings and target output and we will recommend the cavity configuration
Question2: Does a multi-cavity mould lower my cost per piece?
Yes - the press cycle cost is shared across more pieces, so labour and energy per piece fall. The saving grows with order volume
Question3:Can one mould set make several different products?
Each product shape needs its own mould set; a press changes products by changing the mould. Multi-cavity is about making more of the same product per cycle
Question4:What steel do you use and how long does it last?
P20 / 718 pre-hardened mould steel with hard chrome plated, mirror-polished cavities. Tool life depends on the compound and daily care, and re-polishing restores the finish
Question5: How long does it take to get a custom mould?
Custom moulds are produced in about 10-15 days once the drawings are confirmed. Send your product drawings for a review and lead time
