Melamine tableware made from 100% Purity Melamine A5 Melamine Moulding Compound Powder

Melamine tableware, also known as imitation porcelain tableware or melamine tableware, is a new type of tableware made by heating and pressing melamine resin powder into molds.

    Product Detail

The Melamine tableware, also known as imitation porcelain tableware or melamine tableware, is a new type of tableware made by heating and pressing melamine resin powder into molds.

    Raw materials and materials:
The raw material for melamine tableware is melamine-formaldehyde resin, which is made from cellulose as a base material, with the addition of pigments and other additives. Among them, the qualified raw material used for tableware production is A5 material, that is, 100% melamine resin, which has the characteristics of being non-toxic, odorless, and having a wide temperature resistance range (-30℃ to 120℃).

    Manufacturing process:
Melamine-formaldehyde resin is mixed with fillers, curing agents, pigments and other components, and then hot-pressed and cured through processes such as drying and preheating, feeding, initial pressing, degassing and curing. Some tableware will also undergo subsequent treatments such as decals and sanding to remove burrs.

    Key Features

    Excellent Appearance and Texture:
Possesses the texture of ceramic, with a smooth, glossy surface. A rich variety of colors and styles can be achieved through decals on a white base or the addition of organic pigments.

    High Durability:
Resistant to bumps and impacts, not easily broken, and has a long service life, making it suitable for use in restaurants, canteens, and similar settings.

    Safety in Use:
High-quality melamine tableware is non-toxic and odorless, highly resistant to acids and alkalis, effectively protecting against corrosion from grease, acids, alkalis, and other solvents. It also has low thermal conductivity, preventing burns when handled.

    High Cost-Effectiveness:
Generally cheaper than ceramic tableware, offering excellent value for money.

    Precautions for use
Melamine tableware performs well between -20℃ and 110℃. It should not be used for a long time in high-temperature environments, should not be heated in a microwave oven, and should not be used to hold oily or acidic foods for a long time, so as to avoid the increase of melamine and formaldehyde monomer migration, which may affect human health.

    FAQ

Question1:Are melamine tableware safe? I've heard about melamine.

Under correct use, qualified melamine tableware is safe.

    Regarding melamine:

The tableware is made from pre-polymerized melamine resin, which is stable. It will not release harmful substances unless exposed to extreme conditions (such as extremely high temperatures). Our concern is the migration of unpolymerized monomers, and the amount of monomer migration in qualified products is strictly controlled by national standards.

The key to safety lies in avoiding high temperatures and not buying substandard products.

Question2:Can melamine tableware be put in a sterilizing cabinet for disinfection?

It depends on the sterilization method.

    Ozone and ultraviolet disinfection: Yes.

High-temperature infrared and hot air drying disinfection: No. The temperature inside a sterilizing cabinet usually far exceeds 120℃, which can damage the tableware and release harmful substances.

Question3:Why are melamine tableware commonly used in children's tableware and restaurant takeout?

Children's tableware: Because it is lightweight and durable, less likely to injure children; and its bright colors and cartoon designs attract children.

Restaurant/Takeout: Because it is low-cost, durable, and lightweight, making it suitable for large-scale use and transportation.

    Question4:How to clean melamine tableware?

Recommended cleaning method: Wipe with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with neutral detergent (such as dish soap), then rinse with warm water; for stubborn stains, soak in warm water for 10 minutes before washing.

Question5:What is the typical lifespan of melamine tableware?

Under normal use (avoiding excessive heat, strong corrosion, and impacts), it can last 2-5 years for home use.

For the catering industry (high-frequency use and frequent cleaning), it is recommended to replace it every 1-2 years. If it yellows, breaks, or the paint peels off, it should be replaced sooner.
