Melamine Plate & Bowl Mould | Matched to Your Press – PANLONG
Product Detail
The PANLONG plate and bowl mould is a compression mould built around one product family - dinner plates, side plates, bowls and serving pieces - and matched to the press you already run. Instead of buying a mould and hoping it fits your machine, you get a mould dimensioned to your platen, your tonnage and the cavity count you need
Mould and Press Are One Decision
-
Most production problems trace back to a mould and a press that were chosen separately. Plate and bowl moulds are specified together with the press:
(1)Plate diameter and bowl depth determine the platen area the mould needs
-
(2)Product surface area and cavity count determine the tonnage required
(3)Tableware presses run from 250T to 550T, so the mould is dimensioned for the press in that range
Built for the Products You Sell Most
-
(1)Dinner plates and side plates - flat, shallow-draw geometry with a wide surface
(2)Bowls - deeper draw, with wall-thickness consistency across the cavity
(3)Serving pieces and platters - larger moulds matched to higher tonnage presses
(4)Decal-ready surfaces - mirror-polished cavities for printed and glossy products
Steel and Finish
Moulds are machined from P20 / 718 pre-hardened mould steel with hard chrome plated, mirror-polished cavities, which supports both glossy single color products and decal-printed designs. Tell us your product drawings and we will confirm the steel and finish specification for your line
FAQ
Question1:What plate and bowl sizes can one mould produce?
One mould is built for one product geometry - a plate diameter range or a bowl shape and capacity. Send your product drawings with dimensions and we will confirm the mould design and cavity layout
Question2: Are plate moulds and bowl moulds interchangeable?
They are separate moulds, not interchangeable parts. The press stays the same and the mould is changed between products, which is how factories run a full tableware range on one press
Question3:Which press tonnage matches a plate or bowl mould?
Tableware presses run from 250T to 550T. The right tonnage follows the mould area and cavity count: larger plates and deeper bowls need more tonnage than small side plates. Tell us the product and we will recommend the press.
Question4: Can the mould run decal-printed or double color products?
Decal-printed products run on a mirror-polished mould without changes. Double color production needs a double color press - PANLONG builds those in 250T and 350T models - while the mould itself follows the same product geometry
Question5: How is the mould surface finished?
Cavities are hard chrome plated and mirror polished from P20 / 718 pre-hardened steel, which gives a high-gloss surface and helps the mould hold its finish in continuous production.
