High Quality Multi-Cavity Melamine Compression Mould for Tableware
Product Detail
Melamine tableware compression molds (also known as melamine molds) are precision molds specifically designed for high-temperature and high-pressure molding of thermosetting melamine resin. They are the core components of melamine tableware production lines.
Core Structure
l Cavity: Determines the outer shape of the tableware (female mold)
l Core: Determines the inner shape of the tableware (male mold)
l Mold Base: Upper and lower mold plates, used for installation and fixation
l Guiding System: Guide pillars and guide sleeves, ensuring precise mold closing
l Heating System: Built-in electric heating element/heating plate (150–180°C)
l Ejection System: Ejector pins, push plate, ejection mechanism
l Overflow Channel: Discharges excess material and controls thickness
Molding Principle
1. Feeding: Melamine powder is added to the preheated mold cavity.
2. Mold Closure and Pressurization: 15–30 MPa high pressure.
3. Heat Curing: 150–180°C, resin cross-linking and curing.
4. Ventilation/Pressure Holding: Air is removed to ensure density.
5. Mold Opening and Ejection: The cured product is ejected.
In summary, melamine compression molds are the core factor determining the precision, gloss, efficiency, and cost of tableware.
FAQ
Question1:What type of steel is used for the mold? What is its lifespan?
It is made of P20/718 mold steel with a hard chrome plating.
Under normal maintenance, its lifespan is 500,000 to 1,000,000 mold cycles. The chrome plating can be replated after wear and reuse.
Question2:How many cavities does a mold need? Can it be customized?
We can make 1-cavity, 2-cavity, 4-cavity, 6-cavity, etc., depending on the product size and the customer's hydraulic press.
Fully customized: We can open molds from drawings, samples, or 3D files.
Question3:What surface finishes are available?
High-gloss, matte, wood grain etching, stone grain etching, frosted, and other finishes are available.
Question4:How long does mold production take?
Usually 7-20 days depending on mold complexity.
Question5:How are molds packed for shipment?
Packed in wooden cases with anti-rust protection.
