High Quality Factory Price Melamine Split Mold

Melamine tableware molds are specialized hot-pressing dies used in hydraulic presses. Made from high-quality steel, they are precision tools with a cavity specifically shaped for tableware. Melamine powder undergoes high temperature and pressure within the mold, solidifying and forming the final tableware.

    Mold structure

    Basic components:

Usually composed of an upper die (punch), a lower die (cavity), and a die base. When the upper and lower dies are combined, they form the tableware forming cavity. The die base is used to fix the die and connect it to the forming machine.

    Cavity Design:

Depending on the shape, size, and production requirements of the tableware, the cavity can be designed as single or multi-cavity. Multi-cavity molds can improve production efficiency. Common examples include two-cavity and four-cavity molds, which are used to produce cups, plates, and more.

    High precision requirements:

In order to ensure the dimensional accuracy and appearance quality of tableware, the processing accuracy of the mold is very high, and CNC machining centers are usually used for precision processing.

    Good thermal stability:

During the molding process, the mold has to withstand high temperatures of 130℃-150℃. Therefore, the mold material needs to have good thermal stability to avoid deformation or damage at high temperatures.

    High wear resistance:

When the melamine resin raw material is pressed and formed in the mold, it will cause friction on the mold surface, so the mold needs to have high wear resistance to extend its service life.

    Summary

    Core position:

Mould is the "soul" of melamine tableware production, which directly determines the appearance, quality consistency and production efficiency of the product.

    Investment considerations:

Tooling is a significant upfront investment that should be balanced between quality, cost, and production needs.

    Maintenance is the key:

Molds are precision tools and "70% depends on maintenance". Proper maintenance can ensure long-term stable production and yield rate.

    FAQ

Question1:How are the patterns and logos on the molds achieved?

    1. Etching (chemical engraving):

Chemical etching is used to etch patterns, wood grain or logos on the surface of the mold steel. This is the most commonly used and economical method.

    2. Engraving (mechanical engraving):

Use a precision engraving machine to directly carve out the pattern, which is suitable for finer and deeper textures.

Question2:What is a "one mold, multiple cavities" mold?

This refers to the simultaneous production of multiple cavities for the same or different products within a single mold base. For example, a single mold can simultaneously produce four rice bowls or two dinner plates and a spoon. This significantly improves production efficiency, but also increases mold manufacturing complexity and requires a higher tonnage and table size for the hydraulic press.

Question3: How to choose the right mold?

We offer a comprehensive mold catalog for your selection. Alternatively, you can search for the desired mold in your local market, provide us with the product dimensions and weight, and we can offer a design or directly send us a sample, and we will produce the mold accordingly.

Question4: What is the minimum order quantity for molds?

The minimum order quantity for molds is one set, and we are happy to accept small orders.

Question5: How do I place an order?

Our usual payment terms are 30% deposit and 70% balance. Payments can be made via T/T or L/C.
