    Working principle

The manufacturing process for melamine tableware is called thermoforming. The mold, under the action of a hydraulic press, completes the following cycle:
    1.Feeding:
A measured amount of melamine resin powder (usually a prepolymer) is placed into the cavity of the lower mold.

    2.Mold Closure and Heating:
The hydraulic press drives the upper mold downwards, closing it with the lower mold. The mold itself has a heating system, with the temperature typically between 140-170°C. High temperature and pressure melt, flow, and fill the entire cavity with the powder.

    3.Pressure Holding and Curing:
The mold is held at the set temperature and pressure for a period of time, allowing the resin to undergo a cross-linking reaction (curing), forming an insoluble and infusible solid product.

    4.Mold Opening and Demolding:
After curing, the hydraulic press moves upwards to open the mold. The mold is usually designed with an ejection system to push the molded tableware product out of the cavity.

    5.Removal and Cleaning:
The product is removed, the mold cavity is cleaned, and the product is prepared for the next cycle

    Summary

The melamine tableware hydraulic press mold is a key tool integrating precision mechanical design, materials engineering, thermal control, and process experience. Its quality, design, and maintenance level directly determine the quality (aesthetics, durability, and safety), production efficiency, and cost of the tableware products.

    FAQ

    Question1:What is a melamine mold?
A melamine mold is a mold specifically designed for hot-pressing melamine resin powder.

Question2:What is the core material of the melamine tableware hydraulic press mold?
The core mold core is made of 718# steel or P20# steel, with a hard chrome plating finish.

Question3:What are melamine molds used for?
Melamine molds are used to shape melamine powder into finished tableware such as plates, bowls, cups, and trays.

Question4:What is the service life of your molds?
With proper operation and maintenance, molds can use all the time as long as re-plating the damaged plating layer.Never expires.

    Question5:Do you provide multi-cavity molds?
Yes, both single-cavity and multi-cavity molds are available. We will recommend suitable cavities as customer’s machine.
