Core Components

l Matrix Resin (Core): Melamine-formaldehyde resin. It is formed by the condensation polymerization of melamine and formaldehyde, and determines the gloss, heat resistance, hardness, and food safety performance of the tableware
.

l Reinforcing Filler (Skeleton): α-cellulose. This is a natural plant fiber that increases the mechanical strength of the product, reduces cost, and minimizes shrinkage.

l Processing Aids (Assistants): Such as curing agents (to accelerate the reaction), zinc stearate (for lubrication and demolding), pigments, etc., to ensure smooth product molding.

Production Process Overview

Melamine powder is molded in a mold through three steps: high temperature, high pressure, and curing:

1. Preheating: The powder is preheated and softened.

2. Molding: The powder is placed in a mold and cured under high pressure at 130-150℃.

3. Post-processing: The finished product is then decorated with decals and polished.

Core Performance Advantages

l Safety: Non-toxic and odorless, chemically stable, with no harmful substance migration under normal use.

l Temperature Resistance: Suitable for temperatures from -30℃ to 120℃; safe for use in refrigerators, dishwashers, and sterilizers.

l Physical Properties: Drop-resistant, impact-resistant, high surface hardness, porcelain-like appearance, and lightweight.

l Stain Resistance: Dense and non-porous, corrosion-resistant, easy to clean, and does not easily retain odors.

l Processability: Rich colors, good moldability, suitable for large-scale molding production.

FAQ

Question1Is melamine powder safe? Can it be used to make tableware?

Melamine powder is non-toxic and odorless, compliant with GB, FDA, EU food contact standards, specially for melamine tableware, bowls, plates and kitchenware.

Question2Can the color be customized?

Yes. Standard colors include white and beige. Solid colors, pearlescent colors, and imitation porcelain colors can also be customized according to the color chart number.

Question3How long is the shelf life? How to store it?

Store in a sealed, dry place. Shelf life is 6 months. Avoid high temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight.

Question4Can melamine powder be used to make other things?

Yes. Besides tableware, it is widely used in:

l Electrical appliances: switches, sockets, buttons.

l Daily necessities: buttons, mahjong tiles, pen holders, toilet seats, sinks.

l Industrial parts: heat-resistant and insulating mechanical parts.

Question5Can melamine tableware with scratched surfaces still be used?

Replacing is recommended.

Scratches and wear on the surface can trap dirt and expose the substrate.
