Food Grade Custom Design Melamine Decal for Dinnerware Plate Bowl Cup Plate Bowl Cup
Product Detail
Melamine transfer paper serves as an intermediary between the printed design and the melamine tableware. The process involves printing the design onto specialty paper with ink, applying adhesive, and then pressing it onto a molding machine under high temperature and pressure for approximately 20-35 seconds. The design then detaches from the paper and is seamlessly "embedded" into the surface of the tableware, becoming an integral part of the design.
Production Process
1. Melamine tableware decals are typically applied to the "plain" semi-finished product. The main process is as follows:
2. Preheating and Plain Finishing: Melamine powder is preheated into blocks, then pressed into plain white or monochrome tableware semi-finished products (plain) using a mold under high temperature and pressure.
3. Decal Application: The printed melamine decals are trimmed and applied to the designated positions on the plain tableware.
4. Hot Press Fusion: The tableware with the decals applied is fed back into the forming machine. After approximately 20-35 seconds of high temperature and pressure treatment, the resin on the decals melts, and the design is firmly "welded" to the surface of the tableware.
5. Post-Processing: Finally, the tableware is polished to remove burrs. After passing inspection, the finished product is packaged.

FAQ
Question1:Is your decal paper food-safe?
Yes. All our decals use food-grade ink and paper base, non-toxic, no formaldehyde hazard, safe for food contact and comply with international food contact standards.
Question2:What temperature can the decal paper withstand?
It can withstand molding temperature around 150–165°C, suitable for normal melamine tableware hydraulic pressing process.
Question3: Can you do custom designs and logos?
Yes. We accept custom artwork, patterns, logos and brand designs. We also provide design proofing before mass production.
Question4:Will the pattern fade or peel off after use?
No. After high-temperature molding, the pattern is integrated with the tableware. It is scratch-resistant, dishwasher-safe (normal use), and will not fade, peel or crack easily.
Question5:Can the decals be used on all melamine machines?
Yes. They are compatible with fully automatic and semi-automatic melamine molding machines.
