Colored Melamine Molding Compound | Custom Brand Colors – PANLONG
Product Detail
Colored melamine molding compound is the raw material behind brand-colour tableware: plates, bowls and cups moulded directly in your brand colours instead of painted afterwards. PANLONG compounds colour pigment into the material itself, so the colour runs through the whole wall - the finish stays consistent across batches, and the colour does not wear off with washin

Where Colour Sells
Colour is often the first thing a buyer sees. It is what separates a hotel order, a kids' range or a retail programme from a commodity run:
-
(1)Hotel and restaurant chains standardising on their brand colours(2)Children's tableware with bright, playful colours(3)Retail programmes where shelf presence depends on colour blocking(4)Double color tableware, where the compound colour itself creates the two-colour zones
Colour Consistency Between Batches
- The risk with coloured compound is drift - batch 2 looks different from batch 1. PANLONG controls colour at three points: pigment dosing is weighed to the recipe, trial batches are checked against your approved sample, and production batches are held to that same reference. Send us a Pantone number or a physical sample and we match it before mass production starts
-
-
Colour and the Double Color Line
Coloured compound is the basis of double color tableware: two coloured charges are moulded into one piece on a double color press. The moulds are the same ones used for single color production - the machine's additional pressure positions shape each colour into its zone. So the same coloured compound family serves both your single color and double color lines
Result Quality
- (1)Available in A1 (UMC) for economy lines and A5 (MMC) for food-contact export tableware
-
(2)A5 grades are used with a preheater as part of the moulding recipe
(3)Keep the powder sealed and dry between runs; colourfastness is confirmed in trial production
(4)Standard lead time for compound is 7-10 days, with colour samples approved before the batch runs
FAQ
Question1 : How precisely can you match a brand colour?
We work from Pantone numbers or a physical sample. A trial batch is produced first and checked against your reference before mass production, so the approved colour is the colour you receive
Questio2: Will the colour stay consistent across future orders?
Yes. The approved trial sample becomes the master reference, and every production batch is checked against it. Pigment dosing is weighed per recipe rather than estimated
Questio3:Can coloured compound be used on double color machines?
Yes - coloured compound is exactly what double color production uses. Two coloured charges mould into one piece on the double color press; the moulds are the same as single color, with the machine's pressure positions shaping the colour zones
Questio4: Does coloured compound cost more than white?
Colour is a pigment addition on the same base grades, so pricing follows the grade (A1 or A5) and the colour recipe. You receive a clear per-ton quotation with your colour sample request
Questio5:Will bright colours fade after washing?
The colour is moulded into the material, not coated on the surface, and colourfastness is verified in trial production. For decal-printed designs, the decal paper and glazing powder route is used instead
